I’m sure we’re all familiar with the November writing challenge known as National Novel Writing
Month, or NaNoWriMo. It’s all fine and good if you write novels, but what if you don’t? What if you write shorter pieces that are all interconnected, like a serial?
Well, I’ve got news for you! There’s a writing challenge for you: Web Serial Writing Month! Haven’t heard of it? That’s understandable, it’s been defunct for a long time.
Before it died after 2015, a website called Epiguide used to host Web Serial Writing Month every
August where participants set their own goal for how many episodes they wanted to write during the month.
I want to revive this challenge and I don’t want to do it alone!
I have created a Discord server where participants can come together to experience the joys
and pains of planning and writing our serials. It’s still in its early stages, but please join me. We can
commiserate and talk about our serials, even if you’re not participating in WeSeWriMo!
