In this episode/chapter, we meet Annalise. She used to be human, but she died under strange circumstances while saving her brother and sister from a fire. She’s been in “The Hallow” for about three weeks and she’s made a hobby out of messing with Nevermore, the literal Raven from Edgar Allen Poe’s famous poem. Because that’s what the Hallow is, the final resting place for all the things driven to “life” by the mix of human imagination and fear. Legends are given life in death.
