Thanks to all the readers and writers who joined us this week for #TuesdaySerial! We had another great week with 31 stories, including an incredible EIGHT debuts from: James T at The Four Part Land, Keith Dugger, John Wiswell, Abner Senires, Jesse Gordon, Medley Misty, Kevin Paul Shaw Broden, and John McDonnell. Welcome, everybody!
We also have two exciting pieces of news to share on behalf of our contributors. Cecilia Tan has been a long-time contributor with her series “Daron’s Guitar Chronicles.” She has published the first forty chapters as an E-Book – “Daron’s Guitar Chronicles, Volume 1” It’s currently free to download from Smashwords. She may charge for it later or make it a “pay what you will.”
Here’s the blurb: “Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Coming out and coming of age in the days of AIDS, MTV, Reaganomics, and Just Say No. Daron Marks is a young guitar player with a dream, make it big like the guys he grew up idolizing in New Jersey–or at least escape his dysfunctional family. He makes it as far as music school in Rhode Island, and then the stages of Boston and beyond beckon. But it’s hard to succeed from the closet.“
And contributor Isabel Joely Black has a new E-Book out as well! “The Inheritor” (originally released as “The Awakening“) is available free from Smashwords.
Here’s the blurb: “Io is about to turn twenty, living in the tyrannised city of Amin Duum. She is burdened by guilt at the violence she sees all around her, yet feels too small to do anything herself.
Until one day, however, a young boy wanders into her home and changes her life. Her decision to act, to save his life, turns her whole world upside down. Now she faces a battle not just with her sister, who supports the regime, but with her own conscience and the city that has raised her.
Unable to turn back, she discovers that not only is the world not what it seems, but indeed, neither is she. Her actions will not just alter the course of her life, but of history itself.”
If I have missed mentioning any debuts or conclusions, please let me know!
