Mara Solomon is a music professor who has unexpectedly found herself investigating the death of her friend, the harpist Reanne Adastra. Having tried unsuccessfuly to convince Detective Randle of the Decatur Police of the importance of a clue, she now finds herself distracted by a sudden disturbance in the restaurant.
